Two options this year! The Linguafolio workshop is a follow-up for those of you who
have investigated or implemented the program in your classroom. Streaming is
for individuals who want to learn more about using video streaming and improve
the quality of language instruction by integrating available technology into
their lesson plans.

WESTERN REGION
Linguafolio is basically an ongoing formative assessment that can motivate and reward
learners at the same time it informs instruction. LinguaFolio is based on the
European Language Portfolio (ELP), National Foreign Language Standards, ACTFL
Performance Guidelines and ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines and was developed by
members of the National Council of State Supervisors for Languages.

Second Language
Success for All Learners: “
Differentiation in the Foreign Language Class”
This workshop will focus on identifying and gaining an
understanding of challenges in learning a second language that are faced by
students with either a diagnosed learning difference (LD, ADD, etc.) or who
have been unsuccessful in learning a second language in the past. The workshop
will identify instructional strategies and alternative assessment practices
that can be used by all students. You will be expected to implement some of the
strategies presented and reflect upon their impact on student learning.
