·       Display students work in a visible bulletin board in the school’s hallway.

·       Get parents involve in specific language projects.

·      Keep parents informed in a timely way of your program and what students are learning.

·       Look for local opportunities such as art contests, festivals, to involve your students and then send the information to your local newspaper.

·       Submit and an editorial on the value of knowing/learning a second language written by you or your students and send to the local newspaper.

·       Young students can make colorful place mats with labels in the second language.  These can be sent as a gift to a local center for the elderly or community soup kitchen.

·       Invite speakers from the community who will help promote the need for knowing a second language.

·      Start a once-a-month Second Language Club after school for FLES students.
