NOMINATIONS
The procedure consists of three parts: 1) a signed letter by the nominee accepting the nomination 2) résumé to be compiled by the nominee, and 3) at least three letters of recommendation written on behalf of the nominee.
Award winners will be presented with a plaque during the FLANC Business Meeting during the annual conference. K-12 winners receive a monetary stipend and will nominated for the SCOLT regional Teacher of the Year.
The deadline for packet submission is May 1st.

Once a FLANC representative has received the nomination, the following materials will be required of all nominees:
1. Educational background 2. Teaching experience 3. Travel experience 4. Memberships in professional organizations 5. Service to FLANC 6. Record of professional achievements and/or contributions - service to school, foreign language program, professional organizations (workshops, presentations, papers read, etc.) 7. Nominee's statement - philosophy of teaching, importance of foreign language study, successful qualities of teaching and professional involvement. |

A minimum of three and a maximum of six letters of recommendation will be accepted. The letters should come from the different categories below. The letters must specifically address the nominee's teaching/classroom experience and delineate his or her contributions to the field. 1. Principal/ Assistant Principal/ School Administrator |
