FLANC Presenters

Welcome FLANC presenters! The FLANC Board appreciates your time and expertise that you have chosen to share with our members this year. Please find Guidelines for Workshop Presenters at FLANC and other information below to help you with your presentation.

1. Registration: All presenters must be current members of FLANC and must register for the conference. You can Register Online. FLANC will again offer a Saturday-only registration option.

2. Audio-Visual Equipment: FLANC provides a screen in every room. We also provide a free overhead projector if requested to everyone who requests one. Furthermore, there is free wireless internet in all the rooms (but our experience in this hotel is that this free service is undependable). Additional costs are as follows: TV/VCR, $55.00; LCD projector, $65.00; hard-wired high speed Internet connection, $45.00. You will soon receive instructions on how to request and pay for audio visual equipment, as well as on deadlines. Please note: FLANC subsidizes the rental cost of all audio/visual items. 3. Handouts: When you receive confirmation of the time and location of your workshop, there will also be information regarding room capacity. Please plan to make enough copies of any handouts to equal the capacity. It is suggested (though certainly not required) that you give your email address on any handouts in case those attending your workshop wish to follow up with you later. 4. Format: Past experience has suggested that FLANC members really appreciate workshops where they gain hands-on experience, or opportunities to reflect upon-or practice with-the new information, in order to make it their own. For this reason, workshops must be interactive presentations.

5. Cancellations: We appreciate your commitment to FLANC as shown by your proposal. This is a large conference, and last minute cancellations create headaches for the organizers and disappointment for our members. Should you have an emergency that requires cancellation, we would appreciate it if you would contact the Program Chair (peter.floyd@charlottecountryday.org) as soon as possible so that we can arrange replacements. Once the program is finalized, we are unable to change the time of a session.
