2024 FLANC FALL Conference
Cultivating for Tomorrow
Registration for the 2024 FLANC Annual Conference is now open! We are excited to host our FLANC Fall 2024 Conference at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem on October 5-6. The theme for the 2024 Fall Conference is “Cultivating for Tomorrow”. We want to disseminate how we are nourishing world language growth amongst ourselves, our students and our community for the future. Our early bird registration runs thru September 20 with the discounted rate at $180 for FLANC Members and $240 for Non-Members The registration includes:
Two pre-conference webinars
General sessions
Scavenger hunt activities at our exhibit hall
Continental breakfast and two lunches during the conference dates
Allied group meetings on Sunday, October 6

Keynote Speaker: Paul Sandrock
Paul Sandrock is a teacher at heart, starting his career teaching Spanish for 16 years in middle school and high school and supporting teachers in various capacities ever since. Paul served in various roles at ACTFL: on the ACTFL board and serving as President, providing numerous workshops, a member of the Integrated Performance Assessment development team, and on the staff as Director of Education and later as ACTFL Senior Advisor for Language Learning Initiatives through June 2023. Paul was Assistant Director of Content and Learning at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI), coordinating the areas of English language arts, mathematics, international education, and world languages and earlier served as the Wisconsin DPI statewide consultant for world languages. Through ACTFL, Paul facilitated the revision of the World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages and the NCSSFL-ACTFL Can-Do Statements and worked with language programs across the US and around the world.
